THE 2017 VINTAGE AT CHÂTEAU D'ESTOUBLON
The winter was mild and dry at Estoublon, like everywhere else in Provence. The spring was also very dry and was marked by a frost episode in April, which unfortunately affected part of the estate. Particularly warm conditions then favoured a very rapid flowering at the beginning of June. The vineyard is particularly healthy, thanks to the combination of a very present mistral wind and these beautiful spring conditions. The summer that followed was also very hot and dry, with occasional localized thunderstorms. The conditions at the end of the summer allowed for a good concentration of sugars, while preserving a good acidity and fresh aromas in the small, fruit-filled berries.
